The New Porsche 718 Style Editions
Customers will be invited to explore the potential of the new car, and further develop their own skills behind the wheel, by participating in a bespoke driving experience around the unique tracks at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.
Fresh colours and harmonious contrast packages characterise the new Porsche 718 Boxster Style Edition and 718 Cayman Style Edition. The mid-engined sports cars have always expressed the perfect combination of driving pleasure and everyday practicality. Now, the Style Edition models add the choice of eye-catching design. This is particularly evident in the introduction of Ruby Star Neo as an exterior colour option, which provides a modern interpretation of the Ruby Star of the legendary Porsche 911 Carrera RS of the 964 generation.
Exclusive details set the models apart
However, every 718 Style Edition is clearly distinguishable – whether in Ruby Star Neo or not. For example, they ride on 20-inch diameter 718 Spyder wheels in high-gloss black with coloured Porsche crests. The models are also recognisable by their black sport tailpipes and “Porsche” lettering in high-gloss silver on the rear.
Both cars include decorative stripes on the luggage compartment lid at the front and “Porsche” decorative lettering on the side, plus black and white high-gloss paint finishes for the wheels and model designations at the rear, respectively. Customers can also choose between two 718 Style Edition contrast packages at no extra charge: one in black, the other in white.
Inside, the Style Edition models feature a leather package in black including contrast stitching in chalk, illuminated door sill panels in stainless steel and the Porsche Crest on the headrests.
On the 718 Boxster Style Edition, “Boxster” lettering is embossed on the soft top above the side windows as a further exclusive touch.
Extended standard equipment adds to the appeal
718 Boxster and Cayman are exceptionally well-equipped with standard features including Bi-Xenon main headlights with LED daytime running lights, ParkAssist front and rear, Porsche Communication Management with satellite navigation incorporating Apple® CarPlay, cruise control and heated seats.
To this, the Style Edition models add automatically dimming exterior and interior mirrors including rain sensor, heated smooth leather multifunction steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, floor mats with contrast stitching in chalk, leather upholstery in black with contrast stitching in chalk, plus the afore-mentioned larger diameter alloy wheels and exterior design choices. Both models can also be further upgraded with a wide range of options.
Six-speed manual transmission comes standard
In terms of powertrain and chassis, the Style Edition models are based on the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman with the 300 PS (220 kW) two-litre boxer engine mid-mounted behind the seats. The turbocharged four-cylinder generates 380 Newton meters of torque and takes the Style Edition models, which are manually shifted through six gears as standard, from zero to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds (with optional seven-speed PDK: 4.7 seconds). Both models – manual or PDK — can reach a top speed of 171 mph where permitted.
Combined fuel consumption for the 718 Cayman Style Edition is 29.1 – 31.7 mpg (WLTP), equivalent to 220 – 201 g/km CO2. For the 718 Boxster Style Edition, Combined fuel consumption is 29.1 – 31.4 mpg (WLTP), equivalent to 220 – 203 g/km CO2.
