From the 14th-23rd October visit Tenterden for a culinary feast for the senses, as the inaugural celebration of food and drink businesses, in and around Tenterden, comes alive this Autumn with ten days of Tenterdine! Showcasing the wonderful businesses and the fantastic food and drink they have to offer, it’s an opportunity to try a new restaurant, coffee shop or pub as well as vineyards and breweries on tap. Whether you fancy trying something new or want to support an old favourite there will be plenty of establishments to choose from and culinary delights for all to enjoy this season.

Taking advantage of the best produce Autumn has to offer, the family run Italian restaurant, will be featuring seasonal specialities on their dining menu including rich and indulgent funghi and truffle dishes. If you’re looking for the dining wow factor, bookings will be taken for Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th October where flambé specials, created at your table, will be the order of the day. Perhaps an evening of live music is more your thing, in which case be sure to make a reservation on Thursday 20th October for live music with Salvatore Di Concilis, from Naples. On Monday 17th October, Bottega Gelato Parlour will be hosting a gelato making demo, where you’ll learn how the delicious Italian ice cream is made whilst savouring some of the samples.

Hopfest Beer Festival 2022 at The Old Dairy Brewery
Showcasing the very best of Kent green hop beers, which are created using fresh (green) hops rather than dried, The Old Dairy festival plans to be a celebration of all that is good about brewing in Kent. In addition to the local beers there will also be a German twist to the event as they acknowledge the traditions of Ocktoberfest, with authentic Bavarian beers plus other local German beers. Running from the 21st-23rd October, this festival promises to whet the appetite with excellent beers, delicious food and live music bands to get you up and dancing throughout the evenings.

The Latte Lounge are planning a special Jamaican food event and also a wine tasting in association with Wayfarer Wines. Visit the independent alehouse and tapas bar, This Ancient Boro’, to experience Spanish dining at its finest. Also participating are The Lemon Tree Restaurant, who pride themselves on producing great British ‘comfort food’ housed in a 14th century timbered building on the main high street. Hoof & Hook Tenterden, the restaurant and bar in the heart of the town, where the choice of quality ingredients is paramount, specialises in home-reared beef, home-grown potatoes and local fish. Artisserie, the Parisian-style bakery, which opened this year, EC30 Coffee Shop, Amy’s Pantry and Marino’s Tenterden are also getting involved in the event. If you’re looking to sample some superb wines from the county then Gusbourne Fine English Wines, Biddenden Vineyard and Cider, Wayfarer Wines and Woodchurch Wine Estate should all be on your radar of places to visit during the ten days.
