It’s All About Personality

High on our client’s wish list is for us to design highly creative and functional kitchens packed with lots of character and personality. We build and finish all of our furniture here at our Biddenden workshop, so this is a great part of our job and here’s a few examples of how we do it.

Using deep colours add depth and appeal. Mid greens provide a sense of calm, navy blues ooze sophistication and earthy reds give a splash of warmth. Try teaming brassware (with taps, handles and pendant lighting) with these deeper tones to create an elegant yet cosy feel.

When building highly sociable open bench seating areas, we enjoy using natural materials like rustic oak, which emphasizes the wood’s unique imperfections, we often combine both painted and polished finishes to bring the whole room in together.

Waterfall Splashback

Building secret storage in the form of oak drawers within drawers, coffee stations or walk in pantries behind fascia’s not only provides great design opportunities but adds that little touch of magic!

Using different work surfacing materials with intricate patterns adds both interest and texture, the veined waterfall splashbacks are a striking feature that extends from the worksurface all the way down to the floor, resulting with a crisp and stylish look.

Bench seating

Building bespoke bar areas has become increasing popular. We use strong statement splashbacks, antique mirrors, thick chunky shelving, glass shelving & mood lighting, which enables our clients to accessorize with their own glassware, art work and quirky objects. This not only adds resell value and the wow factor but also creates a truly individual space to both relax and entertain in.
