Home Office Inspiration…
Finding our feet in our new ‘offices’ has been an adjustment, just getting motivated to sit at our desks and start something can be a challenge when we’re surrounded by distracting objects and home comforts. Here are some beautifully designed working spaces and top tips from interior design studios Goddard Littlefair and Champalimaud Design and luxury rug manufacturer La Manufacture Cogolin to bring you inspiration and get that motivation going!
“Take some time to de-clutter your environment. The less visual stimulation, the more relaxing and cozy your environment will be, and the easier it will be to concentrate if you are working from home. If you are working from home, create a specific place to work – avoid working from your bed or sofa. Save relaxation areas for relaxing!” – Sarah Henry, Managing Director of La Manufacture Cogolin.
“Starting with the very bones of your home, one of our tricks when trying to make any space feel more expansive is to create zones. For example, a bedroom can feel larger and more luxurious by creating an entrance area, a dressing zone, the bed and a lounge area which often doubles up as workspace.” – Jo Littlefair, Co-founder and Director of Goddard Littlefair.
“By simply moving a lamp, a framed piece of art, or even a handful of small pieces of furniture you can reignite an appreciation for your belongings and your home. A simple change can activate a space in your house that you didn’t previously use, making you feel like you gained more square footage.” – Anna Beeber, Partner at Champalimaud Design.
