One of our published aims is for our children to be happy and have a high level of self-esteem. This is achieved through having small classes and excellent teaching that celebrates the talents and strengths of each individual child, both academically and pastorally. I am quite sure that the amazing setting of the school also helps to promote happiness. With twenty six acres of woods, gardens and fields to play in, as well as chickens and ducks to look after, how could any child not benefit from the space to run and explore?
I am very proud of all our children at Fosse Bank School, from the three year olds I caught counting fluently in French, to the Reception children leaping with great confidence into the swimming pool, to our oldest children celebrating success at 11+ and achieving the senior school places they aspired to. What is particularly pleasing is that none of these Year 6 children had extra tutors – we work them hard enough at school!
Whilst we have published Open Days, potential children and parents are very welcome to have a tour of the school by appointment during which they can talk to our children about what life is like at Fosse Bank.
