Academic Excellence
Mayfield has a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, offering small class sizes and a curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity, and the freedom to learn from mistakes. While maths and science are particularly popular at A‑level, the school also excels in the creative and performing arts. In the most recent GCSE exams, two girls were amongst the top performers in the country in Ceramics, gaining full marks and a commendation from the exam board. The intellectual, creative, physical, emotional, and spiritual development of each student is at the core of the Mayfield experience. This academic rigour is complemented by a diverse range of extracurricular activities, including dance, debating, drama, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Students also have access to a wide range of sports, such as cricket, football and hockey, alongside state-of-the-art equestrian facilities. This holistic approach cultivates a lifelong love of learning and personal growth.

They pursue a wide range of disciplines, from engineering and medicine to law, economics, and architecture. Beyond academic success, Mayfield girls graduate with enduring friendships, strength of character, and the support of a global network. The school’s focus on aspiration, resilience, values, and skills equips students to navigate the challenges of the 21st century and make a positive impact on society.
