Calling all artists and makers
Summer 2023 will see hundreds of artists and makers across Kent and East Sussex join in a collective celebration of creativity. They will open the doors of their studios, hold collaborative shows and put on exhibitions showcasing their work, to connect with local art lovers – will you be part of it?
South East Open Studios (SEOS) takes place from 2 to 18 June 2023 and hosts a wealth of artistic talent across a variety of different media, from painting to printmaking, pottery to ceramics, sculpture to jewellery and silversmithing, glass, woodwork, textile art, digital, illustration, mixed media… and more. If you love art and collecting unique pieces from local creatives, then this is a show you will not want to miss.

“Taking part in SEOS offers what most aspiring artists would love: an opportunity to exhibit in your own chosen setting with interested visitors coming to you, choice over dates and times you want to be ‘open’, major advertising being taken care of, other local artists supporting you by helping to promote you through word of mouth and zero commission. Add to this the benefits of being part of a regional art community that continues to promote you throughout the year. It is a golden opportunity that comes around every twelve months!” – Jane Cordery, contemporary artist based in Tenterden.
