Artspring Gallery Gets Festive
It’s that time of year again and we are all crossing our fingers that it will be a better time than Christmas 2020. ArtSpring Gallery in Tonbridge has a great range of fine contemporary art including wall art as well as a vibrant selection of jewellery, glassware, sculpture and ceramics. The artist members at ArtSpring Gallery are also determined to be festive and there will be a wonderful new collection of gifts and decorations on display in the gallery as well as online. Something for everyone!

The art collective was recently joined by Ben Cotterill, a digital artist from West Malling, specialising in drawing using an iPad and special Stylus pen, adding another intriguing medium to the gallery’s range of artwork.
During December the gallery will be open six days a week, Monday to Saturday, 11am- 4pm. To coincide with Small Business Saturday on 4th December, there will be a special ‘Meet the Artists’ afternoon from 2 — 4pm when visitors can find out more about the work by chatting to some of the artist members and enjoy a glass of festive fizz.

If you’re not able to get to the gallery in person a wide variety of the artists’ work can be viewed online where you can also find a special Christmas collection and gift vouchers.
Looking forward to 2022, Artspring will welcome new member Gillian Smith, a textile artist based in Tonbridge. Gillian’s inspiration comes mainly from the natural world; its flora and fauna, folklore and mythology, along with environmental issues. Her work includes both mixed-media paintings and textiles, often containing elements of storytelling and fantasy, all creating an atmospheric narrative.
The Gallery’s guest artist for January and February will be Elaine Almond. Elaine is a painter in oils and acrylics from Borough Green. Her paintings are expressive of colour and emotions, as well as the beauty of nature. Art gives Elaine mental space and freedom and allows her to use her creative instincts for paintings which are a journey for the mind and spirit.
